Application
For optimal durability, the tape extensions are attached to the natural hair using heat. First, the hair is carefully sectioned, and a fine strand of natural hair is placed between two tape strips. The adhesive strip is then heated with a flat iron for a few seconds. The heat activates the glue, ensuring an even stronger bond with the natural hair. Finally, the tapes are firmly pressed together with fingers or a tape clamp to ensure a secure and long-lasting hold.
Durability
Tape extensions typically last between 4 and 8 weeks, depending on hair structure and individual growth. Over time, the bonds grow out and become more visible, so the extensions should be repositioned regularly. To do this, they are gently removed using a special remover, adhesive residues are cleaned off, and the strands are fitted with fresh adhesive strips. This method allows the extensions to be reused multiple times without damaging the natural hair.
