Application
When applying these tape extensions, the adhesive strip is gently heated to bond with the natural hair. First, the hair is neatly sectioned, and a thin
strand of natural hair is placed between two
tape strips. The adhesive surface is then lightly warmed with a flat iron for a few seconds. The heat activates
the glue, making it adhere even more securely to the natural hair. Afterward, the tapes are firmly pressed together with fingers or a special
tape clamp to ensure an airtight seal.
Durability
Tape extensions typically last between 4 and 8 weeks, depending on hair growth and
maintenance. Since the bonds grow out over time and become visible, the
extensions should be repositioned regularly. To do this, the tapes are gently removed using a special
remover, any adhesive residue is cleaned off, and the
strands are fitted with fresh
adhesive strips. This allows the extensions to be reused and reattached without damaging the hair structure.
